Welcome to Our Village, a place that captures our story to and through parenthood. I'm Fallon [baby momma] and I am accompanied by Antonio [baby daddy] Our story is a little different than others, but it's my favorite. Why am I here recording all of this? I find healing through writing and sharing my story; so thank you for joining us.  

Our Story

We met through a friend (err Instagram) I know, I know romantic, right? Very millenial of us. We talked for two weeks and then became inseparable spending day after day together. 11/27/2016 was our first date and I found out I was pregnant on 01/08/2017. We basically hit the fast forward button 10 times and called it good. It went a little something like this, "Hi, I'm Fallon. Hi, I'm Antonio. Do you wanna make a baby?" Kidding, kidding. 

From the day we met I knew Antonio was it. It was weird and I felt like a crazy person (see also: I am probably a crazy person, but he loves me anyways) After a few weeks of dating we exchanged I Love You's. The morning that I took the test I really didn't have any expectations of it saying "PREGNANT" but I noticed that I hadn't had any symptoms of my period the week prior and my body is like clock work. About a minute & a half into the three minute test it said "PREGNANT" and the words, "Oh shit" left my mouth (#keepinitreal) I remember stopping by the Target next to work and picking up 2 more tests - you know, just in case - and prenatal vitamins. After taking the 2 tests and seeing PREGNANT two more times I knew it was real. Never once was I scared or sad. Surprised? Yes. But I was excited. I have always known I wanted to be a mother so this was the biggest blessing I had ever received. When I told Antonio that night I knew that he would be shocked, but happy. He also had always dreamed of being a dad.

We kept the news to ourselves for a few days before sharing with our families. When we announced our pregnancy I was roughly about 5 weeks along. (Post to come about why we announced so early) And now we are here. A few months later, one quickly growing baby and moved in together.
